So I bought tickets to Anime Expo today (a 4-Day Pass) and I am also going to purchase a 4-Day Pass for Comic-Con if it’s still available.  Am I crazy? Maybe, but I really wanna go.  I didn’t get to go to Comic-Con last  year and I was really looking forward to it.  Even though San Diego is quite far for me.

But, oh well.

The L.A.  Convention Center is like 20 minutes away so it’s not too bad.  And I was even able to get a friend of mine to tag along.  Last year, my friend Bob came with me to Anime Expo.  It was funny how it all happened.  I basically called the day of, and said: “Hey, wanna come to Anime Expo with me?” and he was all like, “Sure! What the heck is that?” I LOLz for like 3 whole minutes before I was able to reply.  But that’s Bob for ya.  Willing to go anywhere if he’s bored out of his mind.  He did have a good time, though.  Maybe I can get him to tag along again.  Hee hee.

Nothing else to report.  Doing well today, so I’m just trying to enjoy a day of semi-normalcy.  Not too hungry, but it’s okay.  I’ll ask the hubby to bring home some ice cream on his way back from work.  I kinda want to fill my tummy with some yummy dairy goodness.  I also did a few stretches to get the muscles moving.  I can’t move around as much because I’m pretty much either in bed or on the couch for most of the day, but today I felt well enough to stretch a bit and get the muscles moving.

I really hope this feeling lasts until my next cycle.  That would be awesome.  If it does, maybe I can go out to a movie or to dinner with the hubby. It’s been a long while since we’ve done something.  Maybe I’ll even be able to go to the park with the baby, that would really make her happy.

Oh! I did a little bit of writing too.  Only like 20 minutes worth.  Nothing great, just trying to jot some ideas down before they flew out of my mind.  Most of them were for my latest project… a novel turned graphic novel.  I am no artists/illustrator, but I think this could really work if I can find someone that is willing to share the vision with me – we’ll see if that works out, otherwise, I’ll have to spend a whole lot of time trying to learn to draw as well (HA!).  Later tonight I’m gonna call my friend who works for Aurora Publishing, he’s a producer (he also worked for TOKYOPOP for a while), I want to see what he thinks about my story and see if it’s got potential.  I’m thinking yes.  Last year at Anime Expo I gave him a little blurb about my original novel idea, and he had mentioned to me then that it sounded great and that it could work as a manga too.

Anyway, so yeah, that’s what’s been going on with me so far.  Nothing amazingly great, just little mundane stuff that really means a lot to me because it’s stuff out side my current ‘forced-norm’.

Well, I’m off to watch some T.V and play some games on my iPhone to pass the time.  Then nap-time, and after that… I’m not sure yet, but I’m hoping it involves some yummy ice cream and a movie

The last quote is the most meaningful to me, and I’ll tell you why:

On work:  I work my ass off, and have some really, bad-blah-urk, and horrible days at work, but I can honestly say that I love my job… And yes, I could’t tell you how much money I make an hour (or per year… you’ll have to ask my husband that question), and I really forget when payday is cuz I hardly ever pay attention, and all of this because I love my job. I  love the people that I work with and my bosses are great people.  How many poeple can truly say they love their job?  And, seriously, the corporate world can be a harsh place at times, but heck, we have fun too. 

On love: Once upon a time I was young and naive.  I trusted blindly and I was insecure and I was hurt, not once but twice by people I loved.  I was betrayed by people who I considered my friends.  For a while there I had lost myself, I had become distant and a bit cold, but somehow I found my way back again.  I found that I could still love and that those who hurt me before weren’t worth the trouble or my tears.  Love found me again, old wounds healed and the guy who had hurt me the most was able to mend the broken pieces of my heart somehow.  Maybe he was trying to find himself too.  I’m still somewhat naive, I’m a dork and I act like a teen (a very mature, cute and intelligent teen), but that’s just part of who I am… my charm I guess.

On dancing?:  hey!  I’m young, and even if I was 90, I would still try and have fun.  I mean come one, I’ve only got one life to live here, why waste it when I can make wonderful memores for myself, family and friends?  HA!  Yeah yeah, we should all play Guitar Hero World tour together, you’ll really see me getting jiggy with it… I’ll show you my groove.  You’ll like it.

So what have I been up to?  Well, I guess I’ve been dealing with a little bit of everything.  I’ve been trying to focus on family life, mostly spend more time with my baby girl and my husband.  It’s been really nice, and I can’t wait for the holidays.  It’s my favorite time of the year.

I’ve been also writing.  Mostly fanfic in the Anime/Manga-dom, and just this week, I started a RP community over at LiveJournal with some friends of mine (Melly!  Jeff!  I love you guys!).  It’s fun, I miss RPing.  This is basically from the Joss Whedon Verse (Angel the Series and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom.)  Check it out if you get a chance: World On Fire.  It’s gonna be a great comm!

I’ve also been getting ready for NaNoWriMo.  Every year I’ve been wating to participate, and every year, I chicken out.  But not this year.  This year I’m gonna kick some major ass.   October has already proven to be a crazy month.  I’ve been doing a lot of research for my story, and worked on some character bios.  I have a general idea of what I’ll be writing for each and chapter, but other than that, I won’t start writing it until November 1st – 12:00 AM.  You are more than welcome to check on my progress on the NaNoWriMo site under my user profile Jessie Angel, or you can also check out my story’s official website ARTisticAsylum.org.

I’ve also been commissioning artwork from different artists in deviantART.  One artist has already finished the piece, the other two are still working on it.  I’ll post those up as soon as I get a chance to.

Other than that, not much else going on.  I do need get my ass in gear and talk to Frederick about Programming stuff.  He’s been an amazing teacher so far, and lately with everything going on, that’s been on the back burner (BUT I HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU FREDERICK!!!)
